September 2008
We celebrated our 10 year anniversary on September 7th with a great community event at Carrie Blake Park. The theme for the event was "A Community With Heart Includes Everyone". It was a beautiful summer day with fabulous music by Sequimarimba and Tapwater. Our wonderful event coordinator Victoria Jazwic along with many dedicated volunteers made the day one to certainly remember.
Community leaders Laura Dubois (Sequim City Mayor), Mark Ozias (Sequim Open Aire Market), Tom Hockett (Director of Olympic Community Action), Ruth Marcus (Sequim Gazette Columnist & Community Activist), Ursula Schletter (DDDetails Columnist & SNAP Participant), and Tresa Stuber (SNAP Director) spoke about the importance of community building.
